Puddles of love

Hi me lovelies

Holly

- Good Morning Sugar Fans -
It's Janine, and I'm here to share with you my Wednesday post.

This week I'm using one of the new mini Gorjuss stamps, this little honey is called 'Holly' and she's available to buy from Funkykits. There are quite a few in the collection and they all so pretty!

As the name dictates this Gorjuss range is 'mini' - they're made from red rubber and stamp beautifully. Now despite Holly's name she isn't actually a Christmas stamp but as you can see below I have used mine to sort of create a festive....ish/non-traditional coloured Christmas card.

Hope you like it :)

Using a 7" x 7" card base I matted my card with 2 co-ordinating papers and added a strip of coloured card across them both. The white pretty frame was made from a die cut rectangle and 2 fancy square frames. The fancy frames was cut up and the edges were glued to the rectangle.

The image was stamped onto some watercolour card and die cut, this was then coloured with watercolouring pens. I added a touch of glitter to the hills and glued the completed topper straight onto the frame; this was then attached to the card base.

To finish off I added a mini Christmas tag and a few die cut snowflakes.

For full details of everything I did and I used in my bauble project, please check out my blog here.

Thank you for dropping by, and don't forget to call by tomorrow to see more fabulous inspiration from our fab Design Team and why not join our facebook group.

Monday catch up

Hello Sugar addicts

You have not heard much from me is such a long time, I'm still here, just busy with other things.
I hope you all picked up the free image he other day as it's now gone. I hope to bring you other art in flash give always , keep your eyes open and visit regularly.

The lack of art has been a disappointment this year. Our favourite artist is not currently producing anything new for her agents and we have in the  past had most of her images.

I always strive to bring you better art every time but I don't think there is anything cuter out there.
So we have taken this time out to promote other stamps, Gorjuss is still a big part of our inventory with the recent addition for the minis giving collectors something new to add to their supplies.

Scrapberries are waiting to release more cute bunnies, winter this time, you will love these and we will have them as soon as we can.

I want to take this time to say what a wonderful DT we have, with the back up The Sweeties,  they all work hard to bring you inspirational creations . I am truly great full for all the work they do and to you for the support you have shown Sugar Nellie over the years.

I see a few stamp companies crumble during the downturn, as Sugar Nellie is only worked by me and just on a part time basis. There is no reason to change anything,  I will continue to look for the sweetest images and bring them to you.

For now I will continue to pack your orders and admire your sweet Sugar Nellie cards.

My Friend Flakey

Good morning Sugar Fans!

It's Janine, and I'm here to share with you my Wednesday post.

You may remember I recently made a Christmas bauble using the gorgeous digital stamp 'Princess', well here's another one. Mind you the bauble is quite small as is the image so it was quite a challenge to colour, but I got there in the end. I hope you like it.

The stamp I used is called 'My Friend Flakey' and it's available as a digital stamp from Funkykits

To make my bauble - firstly I die cut 2 blue scallop circles from card for the back of my bauble. Next I printed the image onto colouring cardstock along with a sentiment and die cut it into a circle, distressed the edge and attached it to one of the scallop circles. The image was coloured with Copic Markers, and I added some white dots around it to add a little interest along with a few die cut glittery snowflakes.  Using strong glue PVA I smeared a small amount around the rim of the bauble I attached it to the circles.

To stop the bauble from tipping forward I added a little extra weight by gluing a few coins to the back, I used the remaining die cut scalloped circle to hide them using foam tape.  To finish off I added a length of Bakers Twine and a ribbon.

You can the find the 'My Friend Flakey' stamp here --
