An adorable baby bunny

Hello, Lisa here with a very cute little bunny to show you...

You might have seen Karen's post a couple of weeks ago about the Little Cotton Rabbits - if not you can read it here.  It reminded me about these sweet stamps, which were some of the first ones I ever bought... it was lovely to dig out an old favourite and get colouring :o)

This is Tiny the Baby Bunny and I think he/ she is lovely for both boys and girls, but I was in a pink mood so I went with a girlie one!

You can also buy Tiny as part of the Little Cotton Rabbit Family set, they're all so sweet.

Hope you all have a fab Saturday - wish me luck, my car's in for the dreaded MOT today!

4 times Sugar Nellie digi's!!

Hello sweeties!
Okay I know, it is a little bit to much, but I wanted to spoil you this time with 4 cards and each one of them has a new Christmas digi on them.. I hope it will give you some inspiration! You can buy these digi's and lot's more at Funky kits.
The first one is made with Forest Friends..I think my favorite although it was hard coloring the reindeer. The papers are all in brown colors from Maja Design. The sentiment is from Tina Wenka.

The second one is made with A gift for you. a tag with papers from SEI. On this tag I've used several Tim Holtz dies. All digi;s are colored with copics markers!
The third card is made on a craft envelope, so I can put a personal note in it! This digi is called Gingerbread cookies. The papers are from Simple Stories and really Christmas colors. The tree and latern are from Marianne Design.

And the last one is Squirrel Delivery Service. Again a tag with a Dutch sentiment. Using again some dies , and some red berries with the holly leaves. These papers are from Maja Design.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and please leave a commend I always enjoy reading them!.
Have a great weekend!

**************************

Hugs Tiets xx

Sweet 'n' Sugary ♥

Good Morning :)

Today I have some cards to show you, randomly chosen from the entries into the Sugar Bowl challenge.
I love to see cards made by fellow crafters and Sugar Addicts, both on the Sugar Bowl and on our Facebook group, you are such a talented bunch!

Bella Bunting is my all time favourite Simply Sassy rubber stamp, and this beautiful card is Lesley's entry into the challenge.

Another Simply Sassy stamp was used on Sarah's card, this one is Tease Me. I love the pop of colour with her fabulous pink hair!
Karen has now made some of these Sassy stamps available as digital images HERE :)

And a fabulous festive card from Anne Lise using the ever-so-sweet image Knitted with love.

There is almost a week left if you feel like getting a little inky and playing along with our Sugary challenge :)

A Sparkle and Shine tag.

Hello Everyone! Jane here today with a tag which I have embellished with one of the lovely new digi images which were recently released at Funky Kits. I really enjoy making tags as a little break from Christmas cards and they are great for adding to last minute gifts.

This little cutie is called 'Sparkle and Shine' and is available here from Funky Kits. I added Echo Park 'A Very Merry Christmas' papers to cover my tag layered onto red card and I added stitching around all the edges. My image was coloured with Promarkers and I then cut it out leaving a small border.

The sentiment I used is a Bazzill rub on and I added some little flowers and a wooden button and finished with some gingham ribbon and a snowflake charm. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

"Hazel & Nutty" celebrate Christmas!

Gosh . . . it seems like just yesterday that I was posting a new Sugar Nellie DT project for you all! But...get this...I've traveled to the Carribbean and back since my last Sugar Nellie post! And, yes, I had a "beach drink" for each and every one of you! hehe! Sooooo, here's a fun pic of our beach chairs...this was our view of the Carribbean! Nice, huh?

Seriously...you didn't think I'd even consider for one nanosecond posting a photo of ME in a bathing suit, did you?!! hehehe!!

OK...so, it's Monday once again...and it's MY Monday! That's right...Pat Frank here with another new Sugar Nellie DT "tag card" to show you! Today's project features an adorable little fairy stamp from Sugar Nellie's Home Grown Collection called "Hazel & Nutty"...

She's temporarily out of stock at Funky Kits! Be sure to check back, though...and do check out the other adorable stamps and digi images they have available! There's always something new being added to the fabulous collection of "goodies" over at Funky Kits! So...I colored this cute image with my Copic Sketch markers and a variety of colored pencils. Oh, and I also colored those gold pearls with Copics so that they sort of look copper to match the bells!

If you'd like more info on this card...as well as a look at a couple of other photos...please pop on over to my blog HERE!!

And...that's it for me. I'm off to do some un-packing and laundry!!
Hugsssssssss!
Pat

SOS- Gorjuss news

Did you hear? There was a quick clearance of stock at one of the UK's biggest craft suppliers,
Personal Impressions, when their licence expired on the Gorjuss range of stamps from Santoro.

This has taken some of us by surprise as you just assume you can go back and add that stamp to your collection when your ready don't you?
After all its a very lucky crafter that buys everything on her wish list at once.

Now there are a lot of stores sell this range but when its gone its gone,
there will be no more made by PI.

I was quick enough to get some of the last stock made
and at a price that I can pass the saving on to you too. WOOOPY DOO

Rubber or clear sets are listed on Funkykits at a very competitive price to start with
but now we have 25% off all stock here.
This discount will remain until the extra stock is gone and then FK will revert back to full RRP.

I also have to leave some for Debbie in the USA as she will receive her first delivery of Sugar Nellie stamps this month and she will be able to start dispatching from Philadelphia. Debbie will not have the full SN catalogue, there are just too many stamps so the most recent will go first and then the best sellers will follow.

*****OTHER HOT NEWS****

SIMPLY SASSY has gone digital but there are still rubber stamps available while stocks last.

RUBBER HERE    & DIGITAL HERE

Some girls on our FB page have been excited that the Simply Sassy range has begun to go digital.
This range of rubber stamps even had its own DT and blog here, where our wonderful team created beautiful work with artwork from Krista Smith.
Size was always a problem especially with the skinny girls LOL
so the freedom to re size a digital image has delighted stampers.
Most of this range is still available in rubber but only a small run was ever made
and some designs have sold out already.
I am sure if you know these Simply Sassy stamps you also know which ones are still on your wish list.

Why have I made them digital??
I get asked this a lot. My answer is because  more than half our customers
are international and digital is instant,
also no postal costs or customs to pay.
Price of digital designs reflect on artists costs more than anything  as there are no rubber, factory or packing costs which saves our customers pounds and pennies. We all like that ;)

I also have to move with the times, how many record shops or video libraries are there in your town?
Times are a changing and change is good for it brings with it new challenges and fresh possibilities.

It will soon be Sugar Nellies 5th birthday and with each year I make changes.
I would never make it on Dragon's Den or Shark Tank, I dont do things because the accountant tells me, I do them because they make me happy. I have had a busy year and its not over yet.
Finding the right balance is key to a happy heart and that is my goal.

Watch this space.....

have a great Sunday

Karen

Forest Friends

Good morning everyone and hope that you're having a good start to the weekend. This is Michele here today and this is my very first posting for Sugar Nellie so I hope that I do it right.

For my card I've used the gorgeous Digi - Forest Friends and I've coloured it using promarkers, flexmarkers and aquamarker pens.

The DP is called Vintage Christmas from Whimsy Stamps and I've inked the edges using Frayed Burlap.

The pink rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the large white flower I made myself.

Thanks for stopping by today :0)

Feelin' Blue? Or Just Turquoise?

Good Morning :)

Outside it's a cold, wet and windy day in my part of the UK, but it's a nice, warm Sugary kind of day here :)
There is a  new challenge on the Sugar Bowl, and as always there is sketch to follow and an optional theme.

Edited to add: There will be a new challenge posted later today, the Sugar Mama Gayle has no broadband..I think the words she used were 'bl**dy Virgin media sucks!'

The sketch was done by the lovely and multi talented Erika with the theme of 'worn turquoise'.
This card uses the image Ocean's Gift and perfectly showcases Erika's fabulous colouring on Kraft.

Pami's gorgeous card uses a much older image, Manga Girl 1. Fab choice of papers and I love the pearls - since I do rather like a pearl or two myself!

Lolly-Wendy has chosen to ink up one of my mostest favourite fairies Crystal Flakes for her beautiful card. I do have a big soft spot for all these fairies.

I don't usually post the sketch here since it's on the Sugar Bowl, but it may get to the afternoon before Gayle gets her broadband back again.

And a picture for inspiration.

Please check back at the Sugar Bowl later in the day to see all the other Sweeties fabulous cards, and of course Gayle will announce the winner of the previous challenge too just as soon as she has connection again.
Thanks for looking.

The Magic of Christmas

Hello to all of you sweet stamping friends.  I am still playing with the adorable Christmas digis that were just released.  I love these gorgeous images and they are so much fun to color.

Today I have used Reindeer Games for my card.  This sweet image brought back some childhood memories for me.  I didn't have a reindeer like this but I did have a horse and I loved playing with that toy!  So I have used copics and colored pencils to color this cutie and I also used lots of Glamour Dust and Star Dust Stickles for plenty of sparkle.  Her little "pearl" earrings are dots of Liquid Pearls and I used some Glossy Accents on the reindeer's nose to make it shiny.  I added a bow with some tiny jingle bells and some sparkly snowflakes with pearls.  The sentiment is from the  Crafty Impression's Someone Special stamp set - there are lots of great holiday sentiments in this set.  You can find all these great digis and sentiments over at Funky Kits.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.  Enjoy your day!

Hugs, Anita

my gingerbread friend

Hello everyone!
It's Kathrin here today sharing another card with you.

I so love those beautiful new christmas digis, that I had to make another card with one of them. And this while I so not feel like christmas could happen this year. The weather is way too nice and warm here at my end of the world right now.

But here she is: Gingerbread Cookies.

I colored her with Copics and used the traditional green and red for her clothes. Even if my red turned out a bit more like a dark pink. But I really love how those ear warmers turned out - don't they look fuzzy?

I added some snow liner underneath her feet so now it looks like she's walking through a layer of fresh fallen snow.

I found some gingerbread paper and that quite old quickutz gingerbread man die which were perfect for this card.

To repeat the star from the image I also added two die cut stars, cut from golden paper that has a layer of shimmer on top.

So, enjoy the end of summer everyone - but don't forget that christmas will be here before we know it! ;)

Big hugs

SOS- Little Cotton Rabbits

Hello sugar addicts, how has your weekend been?
If you have found a little time to craft you are having a better time than me. All I have done is think about it and shop, I keep saying I will get around to crafting in my retirement.

For those of you  who have recently become addicted to the sweetest stamps from Scotland,
you may not know LITTLE COTTON RABBITS.
Early on in the Sugar Nellie story we were very lucky to get permission to drawn these super cute knits
and one of our artist at the time, Linda, transferred these cuties into artwork
that we then made into rubber stamps.

I was delighted to spot a few while trawling around Pinterest and thought that I missed these cuddly knits so much that I would run off a few plates at the factory next time we had a small order going in.
(many have been sold out for a long long time)

These are the original LITTLE COTTON RABBITS .....

some new girls from Julie

and look at these stinking cute dresses on a washing line

If you would like to read all about LCR pop over and visit the lovely Julie here

(I might just buy one of her knitting patterns and hand it to my Mum, it's time she moved on to something
other than Fish and Chip baby jumpers.)

Now this is MY Little Cotton Rabbit and it has had pride of place in the HOS for a long time now.
A pretty card and a cute wee magnet made with our stamp.

There is the family of LCR from Sugar Nellie and here is the set

which can be found here
If you are treating yourself to this very much loved and inked set,
 use the code SOS for a £5 off the family set.{valid for one week}
Or just pick up one of the others while you shop for your next sugar fix.

FYI: This was the first SN stamp that Kate (papercrafts) ever purchased, little did she know then,
that she would spend her working week surrounded by rubber in the House Of Sugar HQ.

Before I leave you, how about you do something for me?
I will give away a LCR stamp to crafters who are willing to make
a sample card for me and
post it back to the HOS for display in our store and on our blog.

If you would like to take part,
leave me a comment and I will pick a few of you to take
part in this challenge.

enjoy the remainder of the weekend
Karen

Saturday Sparkle & Shine

Happy Saturday everyone!

Lisa here, with my very first post on the Sugar Nellie blog... Nervous?... Me?... Well maybe a little bit ;o)

I just couldn't resist colouring up one of the gorgeous new Christmas digis - this is Sparkle & Shine, and I think she might be my favourite from this release... don't tell the others though!

She's coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers, and of course I had to add some glamour dust for sparkle... I think Christmas images (and fairies) have to sparkle, it's a crafting law!

I've also used a sentiment from one of the new Crafty Impressions stamp sets, which are available from Funky Kits - this one is from Someone Special.  They really do stamp beautifully and go so well with the new digis.

If you'd like to see more photos or details, please pop over to my blog... Have a lovely day :o)

Sparkle and Shine

Goodmorning Sweeties, it  is Tiets again and of course I show you another new digi from last release! This one is Sparkle and Shine. Of course you can buy here at funkykits!
I know you all love the new caracters and me too!
I have made a paperbag creation this time. It's been fold in a different way, so you can put lots of tags in it.
I've used my copics markers, and papers from Maja Design. I am a big fan of little projects but this one took me 4 days to finish it!!
If you want more details and photo's , please hop to my blog.
I wish you a great weekend and enjoy stamping!!

Hugs Tiets xx

Liefs Tiets xx

Digi's and Rubber.

Good Morning Sugar Addicts!

I hope everyone enjoyed the blog hop on Saturday and the new release of Christmas images...it will be here before we know it!! Every year I swear I am going to get organised and start making Christmas cards early, and every year it gets to December before I start them.
But I know a lot of crafters start theirs in plenty of time.

This is Laine's entry into the Sugar Bowl challenge, using one of the new digi images - Reindeer Games.
Now Laine's fingers must have been on fire when she was colouring this image as I saw this card on Facebook on Saturday...sheesh but that was some speedy work!!
Beautiful card and I adore all the glitter...a girl can never have too much sparkle :)

Another card made with one of the new digis, Sparkle and Shine has been made into a fabulous card by Cathy. I love these colours, very pretty and delicate and right up my street.

I know that lots of card makers love digital images...they are competitively priced, they take up no space in your craft room and they provide instant gratification, no waiting and stalking the postie!
Personally speaking, I prefer rubber. If you look after your rubber stamps then they will last a lifetime. Yes, they do take up space, but I love having a good rummage through my boxes of stamps deciding which one to ink up. As for stalking the postman...it's my favourite pastime..nothing beats opening a parcel of new rubber and inhaling that smell!!
There is definitely room for both digital and rubber in the crafting world.

And on that subject....

It's almost 2 years ago since Dena made this card with Goosey Gander when it was first released as a rubber stamp.
Now Karen has made this available to purchase as a digital image HERE...giving us the best of both worlds!

There were 3 other Christmas stamps released along with Goosey Gander and they are now all available as digi images too...

(She is not only a perfect Christmas fairy, but is often used as a Birthday Fairy too, and a Wish Fairy)

All you digi lovers can now go and fill your baskets :)
Thanks for looking.
Love Elaine xx
